Why Would I Want To Videotape A Deposition?

Our deposition transcripts, while an excellent record of an event, cannot convey facial expressions, tone, or body language of a deponent. A video record ensures that you (and the jury) can see and hear, as well as read, what a deponent or expert has to say.

Video also helps avoid scheduling conflicts at trial, and presenting an expert's testimony on video saves your firm and your client another sitting fee.

I Ordered A DVD. Why Won't This Disk Play In My DVD Player?

Our video clips are encoded in the MPEG-1 format by default because this is the standard useable by almost all PC brands (Windows, MAC, Linux) and Trial Presentation software packages (Trial Director, Summation, Sanction, etc.). Most commercial DVD players do not play MPEG-1 formatted videos. We can provide you with a disk that plays in a DVD player. Please let your videographer know which format you prefer.

Yikes. All Of This MPEG-1 vs. MPEG-2 Stuff Is Very Confusing

We tend to agree, but we're experts in this stuff! Please refer to our MPEG page for detailed information. We promise we've tried to keep all the geek stuff to a minimum.

What On Earth Is An ELMO?

An ELMO ® is a brand of document camera. A document is placed on the viewing area and the image is beamed to a projector, monitor or laptop. Our ELMO can also be used during a videoconference to beam your document to the people on the other side of the videoconference. The ELMO is most often used at trial, but can be rented for any event scheduled with us.

And we bet you thought we were going to make a joke about a Muppet.
