Agren Blando is Taking
Court Reporting Green - 11/16/09 Press Release
If there are
two things man doesn't want to take lightly, it's the environment and the black
and white of the law. Agren Blando Court Reporting and Video, Inc. is proud to
say it's the first court reporting service in Colorado to take black and white
to green with their new environmentally friendly business practices.
The company,
which has been doing business in Colorado for 48 years, recently revamped its
business practices to become as environmentally conscious as possible.
"We are
proud to be a certified GenGreen company," says President Michael Pace.
"As the first court reporting firm in Colorado to go green we understand
that our work has an impact on our local and regional environments in which we
operate."
GenGreen is
an organization dedicated to helping businesses minimize the negative effects
their business practices have on the environment. Certification is determined
through a three tiered testing process that gauges a business's environmentally
and socially conscious behavior based on environmental leadership, resource
conservation, human capital, purchasing decisions and daily operations.
As part of
their environmentally friendly facelift, Agren Blando is focusing on reducing
waste, reusing office supplies and offering an employee incentive program to
encourage employees to use public transportation to get to and from work as
often as possible. The company is also among the first to utilize a secure
online repository and provide digital transcripts as often as possible to save
paper.
As studies
show that American offices throw away enough paper each year to build a 12 foot
wall from LA to NYC, this is a huge step forward in the conservation of our
precious natural resources.
"Agren
Blando has developed a reputation for accuracy, innovation, and dedicated
service," says Pace.
Now the
company is striving to add environmentally friendly to that list.
Agren Blando
specializes in providing print and video court reporting services for depositions,
trials and litigation services nationwide. The company recently partnered with
Attorneys Service Center, Denver's Freelance Firm of the year.
"We are
proud to be large enough to handle the most challenging litigation demands, yet
staffed adequately to give personal and careful attention to each individual
client," states Pace.
