OCR stands for "Optical Character Recognition" and in regular folks' terms, this means that the computer attempts to "read" a scanned image, converting identified characters into editable text. This can make searching content on scanned documents much, much easier.

Our software can OCR your scanned images and output a variety of text files for you to use in your practice. Many Case Management packages, such as Summation and Concordance, use OCR text files to assist you with searching and indexing large volumes of documents.

We can also provide you with Searchable PDFs, which can be added to casewide Word Indexes with later versions of Adobe Acrobat&reg. If you don't have a full copy of Adobe Acrobat, the free Adobe Reader® can still utilize Searchable PDF for simple searches.
